The standard-wheelbase version of the brand WEY V8X has been revealed in the latest filing from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This new variant features a wheelbase of 2,968mm, distinguishing it from the previously announced long-wheelbase model, which spans 3,050mm. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the V8X adopts a five-seat configuration and will be available with a choice of 1.5T or 2.0T plug-in hybrid powertrains.
The overall design of the standard-wheelbase model remains consistent with the long-wheelbase version. For comparison, the long-wheelbase version measures 5,125 mm in length and 1,821 mm in height.
Customization options for the V8X are extensive, including various designs for the front and rear bumpers, grille, side window trim, body moldings, streaming media cameras, wheels, and brake calipers. Under the hood, the vehicle utilizes WEY’s Hi4 plug-in hybrid system. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum power of 125kW, while the 2.0T engine offers a more robust 175kW.
