Lynk & Co 02 high-performance is now ready in market. The new car will launch three models, with pre-sale price range of 156,800-168,800 RMB (USD23,400 – 25,200). Lynk & Co 02 high-performance comes with a special wheel style, the interior is exclusively purple stitching, equipped with a 2.0T engine.
The previously introduced Lynk & Co 02 uses a combination of the industry’s widely questioned 1.5T three-cylinder engine and dual-clutch gearbox. Although this 1.5T engine is also a product of joint research and development with Volvo. However, from the current sales performance, the three-cylinder machine is still not widely recognized by Chinese consumers, as well as the three-cylinder engine launched by GM and Ford in China market.
The so-called “high performance”: the biggest change of the Lynk & Co 02 High-performance is the power configuration, this new car is powered by the Drive-E 2.0TD engine, which is awarded the “Ward Top Ten Engine” series. The acceleration time of 0-100km/h is only 7.6s. It matches the industry’s most mature and reliable Aisin third-generation 6-speed automatic transmission with a braking distance of 36mm, fuel consumption is 6.7L/100km.
Lynk & Co 02 high-performance also added 19-inch sports wheel and a Continental explosion-proof tire, with an integrated chrome-plated luggage rack design, making the new car more youthful.
In terms of safety configuration, the Lynk & Co 02 high-performance version adds intelligent auxiliary functions such as ACCQA adaptive cruise system and AEB active wake-up system with pedestrian recognition.
