Geely officially announced the latest information on its new car, Emgrand GL PHEV. The new car is positioned in a small or medium-sized car, it will be powered by the same 1.5TD+7DCTH plug-in hybrid system as Geely Borui GE (Emgrand GT), the range is 66km in pure EV driving. Emgrand GL PHEV will be available in the second quarter of this year in China market.
Emgrand GL PHEV continues the design of Geely Emgrand GL, some adjustments are made in the details, such as the use of all-black new car badge, a blue trim is added on the outermost side of grille, LED integrated headlights are also filled in blue color.
The charging port is arranged at the left front fender. The specific dimensions of the car body have not been known. We guess it will remain the same as Emgrand GL. The size of the Emgrand GL is 4725×1802×1478mm and the wheelbase is 2700mm.
In the interior, The PHEV version is basically in line with the current Emgrand GL. Black + silver gray color, the overall layout is very simple. The three-format flat-bottom steering wheel is also embedded in the new black badge, the wireless console is added to the center console.
Emgrand GL PHEV use the same P2.5 hybrid structure as Geely Borui GE(Emgrand GT). The integrated power is 190kW, the integrated torque is 415N·m, it claimed a 0-100km/h acceleration of 7.28 seconds. The hybrid system is powered by a 11.3 kWh ternary lithium battery that provides 41miles(66km) of pure battery life. The charging time is 1.5 hours.
