The official images for the refreshed Hongqi H5 have been released, with the sedan set to hit the market on May 20th, alongside the Hongqi HQ9. The update focuses heavily on interior technology and intelligent features, introducing the new “Lingxi” cockpit and “Sinan” intelligent driving system.
In terms of exterior design, the new H5 features subtle refinements that bring its aesthetic closer to the flagship Hongqi H9. The front fascia now includes an illuminated hood emblem. The headlights and taillights have been slightly redesigned, officially dubbed “Dragon Whisker” and “Phoenix Tail” lights, respectively. The vehicle also sports new multi-spoke wheels, marketed as “Victory” wheels. Additionally, a new “Bibo Ningguang” exterior paint color has been added to the lineup.
Inside, the cabin receives a significant overhaul with the integration of the Lingxi cockpit. This system centers around a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen, complemented by a head-up display (HUD) and a digital instrument cluster. Powered by the 8155P flagship chip, the system supports seamless smartphone connectivity and advanced AI voice interaction. The interior also features “Cloud-feel” comfort seats with multi-way electric adjustment and a “boss key” for rear-seat passengers, along with a heated steering wheel and new Ink Rock Grey/Ivory White interior color schemes.
For driver assistance, the new H5 is equipped with the Hongqi Sinan intelligent driving system. It supports high-speed pilot assist, urban memory pilot assist, and automated reverse tracking.
Under the hood, the new model is expected to retain its current powertrain options, including 1.5T and 2.0T internal combustion engines, as well as a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system. Official performance specifications will be confirmed at the launch event.
