Xpeng has officially launched its first global X-Energy megawatt-level fast-charging station in Hong Kong. The facility, developed in partnership with Halo, marks a significant milestone for the automaker’s proprietary energy technology and is now open to owners of all electric vehicle brands.
The new charging hub features a peak charging power of 1,000 kW (1 MW) and is equipped with a 400 kWh integrated energy storage system. It stands as the first publicly accessible megawatt-level charging station in the region.
As of the second quarter of this year, Xpeng has established 3,780 self-operated charging stations across China, including 2,720 S4/S5 liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging sites. Its domestic network spans over 430 cities, providing more than 20,100 self-operated public charging piles. The company aims to establish a “3-kilometer energy replenishment circle” in core first-tier cities by the end of 2026.
On the international front, Xpeng’s charging network now extends across 31 countries and regions, including various markets in Europe and Southeast Asia, with global access to 2.7 million third-party charging points.
