On January 6, NIO announced the latest sales report. Data shows that NIO delivered 3,170 vehicles in December 2019, an increase of 25.4% month-on-month and a new high in 2019. So far, NIO has delivered a total of 20565 vehicles in 2019, of which NIO ES8 is 9,132 and NIO ES6 is 11,433. Compared with the delivery of 11,348 vehicles in 2018, an increase of 81% year-on-year.
Since the delivery began in June 2018, NIO has delivered a total of 31,913 vehicles, of which NIO ES8 is 20480 and NIO ES6 is 11,433.
Based on the sales results of NIO Automobile in each month of 2019, it can be seen that the sales volume of NIO in the first 7 months of 2019 has changed significantly, of which the sales in February and July were more than 800. However, since August 2019, NIO’s car sales have steadily increased.
Li Bin, the founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, is quite satisfied with this sales performance. He said that this is the fifth consecutive month that NIO has achieved high sales growth. In addition to the competitiveness of products and services, old NIO users have made significant contributions to word-of-mouth communication and recommended new users to purchase cars. Regarding NIO’s sales trend in 2020, he expressed “full confidence”.
In addition to the two models on sale, NIO has further deepened and upgraded its product matrix. On December 28, 2019, NIO released the third production model, the coupe SUV NIO EC6, at the third NIO Day, it is expected that the price and configuration will be announced in July 2020 and delivery will begin in September. In addition, the new NIO ES8 is also expected to start delivery in April 2020.
In addition to product layout, NIO is also expanding its sales network. As of the end of 2019, NIO has opened 70 stores across the country, including 22 NIO House and 48 NIO Spaces. The sales network has covered 52 nationwide cities.
