Li Auto has officially launched its new flagship all-electric SUV, the Li i9, priced at 369,800 yuan (approximately $52,200). Measuring 5,225 mm in length with a 3,168 mm wheelbase, the i9 boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.215, which the company claims is the lowest among mass-produced SUVs globally.
The exterior maintains Li Auto’s signature design language, featuring the iconic “Star Ring” LED headlights with ADB intelligent high-beam support. The vehicle’s profile is characterized by short front and long rear overhangs, creating a sleek, elongated silhouette. The design team utilized a flat A-to-D pillar transition and an expansive three-row side window layout to minimize the visual bulk typically associated with large SUVs.
Despite its flagship dimensions, the i9 is engineered for urban maneuverability, with a width of 1,970 mm, steer-by-wire technology, and rear-wheel steering, resulting in a tight turning radius of just 5.3 meters.
Inside, the cabin continues the “MEGA Home” aesthetic, offering two-tone color schemes and lightweight metallic accents. A standout feature is the 7.5 square meters of total glass area, which, combined with a tiered seating layout, enhances visibility for all three rows. The i9 is the first in its class to feature four standard zero-gravity seats that can be deployed simultaneously. The second row offers full-size, bi-directional rotating seats, enabling versatile configurations for family, business, or entertainment modes.
The vehicle is packed with premium amenities, including a 10L electric refrigerator, a 29-speaker 9.3.6-channel home theater system, and high-definition panoramic screens for both front and rear passengers.
For intelligent driving, the i9 offers an optional “Embodied Intelligence” package, powered by dual Mach M100 chips (1280 TOPS) and a 4-LiDAR sensor array. Supported by the new Mach VLA large model, the system enhances comfort and performance in both urban and highway environments. It also supports advanced features like remote parking and robotic arm-assisted charging.
Under the hood, the i9 utilizes a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 400 kW and 660 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds. It is equipped with a 101 kWh 5C ultra-fast charging battery, providing a CLTC range of 705 km. The vehicle supports rapid charging, adding 500 km of range in just 10 minutes. The chassis features a double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension, paired with dual-chamber air springs and CDC dampers for a balance of stability and agility.
