Leapmotor Hits 1.5 Million Global Deliveries; 2026 Strategy Targets Rapid International Growth

On June 18, Leapmotor officially announced that its cumulative global vehicle deliveries have surpassed the 1.5 million mark. Official data indicates that the brand reached its 1 millionth delivery in October 2025, meaning it took only eight months to achieve the subsequent 500,000 units. The brand’s delivery timeline shows that the first vehicle was delivered in June 2019, with the 500,000-unit milestone reached in October 2024, highlighting a significant acceleration in delivery growth.

Looking at the performance in 2026, Leapmotor C10 made its global debut in May 2026, the brand delivered 81,569 vehicles globally, marking an 81% year-over-year increase and setting a new monthly record for the company.

In the domestic market, the C-series models remain the primary sales drivers, focusing on the 120,000 to 250,000 RMB ($16,500 – $34,400) family new energy vehicle segment, which serves as the brand’s core foundation. Following the launch of the entry-level A-series, the brand has successfully tapped into the 60,000 to 120,000 RMB ($8,200 – $16,500) commuter segment to further boost overall delivery scale.

The overseas market has become a stable source of growth, with Europe serving as the core region. Germany, the UK, and Italy are the primary contributors to international sales, and the overseas business has already achieved phased profitability. The brand has set an overseas delivery target of 100,000 to 150,000 units for 2026.

Leapmotor’s global delivery target for 2026 is 1 million units, with 850,000 to 900,000 units expected from the domestic market and 100,000 to 150,000 units from overseas. Regarding product structure, new models are planned to contribute 40% of annual sales, while refreshed versions of existing models will account for the remaining 60%. The sales proportion of the high-end D-series is expected to gradually increase, helping to optimize the overall profit structure. On the channel side, the brand plans to expand its domestic offline store network to over 1,000 locations by the end of the year, penetrating third and fourth-tier markets while simultaneously adding high-end experience centers in first and second-tier cities.

International expansion is a core priority for 2026. The brand plans to begin construction of its own European factory in the second quarter and initiate CKD (Completely Knocked Down) local assembly at the Stellantis plant in Spain in the fourth quarter. These moves are intended to reduce import tariffs and logistics costs, allowing for better alignment with European market pricing. Beyond its deep focus on Europe, Leapmotor is also expanding into Southeast Asia and the Middle East, tailoring vehicle configurations to meet local regulations and charging infrastructure requirements. The long-term goal is to achieve a balanced sales ratio between domestic and international markets.
