Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) has officially clarified the evolving cooperation model for the AITO brand. The company stated that AITO, co-designed and built by Huawei and Seres, remains a key member of the HIMA family.
Moving forward, AITO will adopt a new operational framework within HIMA. Under this structure, product definition, design, brand marketing, retail channels, and service systems will be led by Seres, with Huawei Terminal providing ongoing technological empowerment. The company emphasized that all existing rights and future services for current AITO owners will remain unaffected.
This adjustment is specific to AITO and does not impact other HIMA brands, such as Luxeed, Stelato, Maextro, or Shangjie, which will continue to operate under the full-process Huawei-led model.
AITO also issued a statement highlighting its milestone of exceeding one million cumulative sales over the past five years, positioning it as a leader in China’s luxury automotive segment. To further strengthen its premium positioning, Seres will take the lead in strategic operations while Huawei continues to provide comprehensive support.
To ensure operational continuity, the signing entity for “Authorized Dealership Comprehensive Service Agreements” will transition from Huawei Terminal Co., Ltd. to an affiliate of Seres Automobile Co., Ltd., effective September 16, 2026. Huawei will remain responsible for service fee settlements for orders placed before this date, while Seres will manage settlements for orders placed on or after September 16, 2026. Service standards, brand positioning, and operational norms will remain unchanged.
HIMA reported 42,101 vehicle deliveries in August, with a cumulative total exceeding 1.52 million units. Notably, the AITO M6 has surpassed 45,000 deliveries in its first four months, and the AITO M9 achieved 30,000 deliveries within a 12-week period.
