CHANGAN’s New Brand Qiyuan Launches First Model Qiyuan 07 with both Hybrid & EV Power

On September 26th, the Qiyuan A07, a medium-sized sedan under the Changan Qiyuan brand, was officially launched, with a total of 5 models, priced between 155,900 and 176,900 yuan. This car is built on the Changan EPA1 platform and offers both extended range hybrid and pure electric versions.

In terms of appearance, Changan Qiyuan A07 features a brand new design language, and the front face looks very “new energy”. The enclosed front grille + bar type headlight group has become one of the most common designs in the current market. In addition, the front bumper is equipped with bar type ventilation openings, which makes the vehicle appear wider and lower prone. Official says the badge of a new car can be understood as binary 1 and 0, which is also a fundamental origin in numbers.

Arriving at the side of the car, Qiyuan A07 adopts the very popular sliding back design, with a simple and smooth overall visual effect. The rear of the car also adopts a very minimalist design, with a combination of through type taillights and a slightly raised ducktail design, which can make the vehicle look more sporty. In terms of body size, the new car is 4905/1910/1480mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2900mm, positioned as a mid to large sedan.

Entering the car, Qiyuan A07 is featured with a leather wrapped and wood grain decorated interior, and is equipped with ambient lighting at the center console and door panels, making the overall environment inside the car relatively elegant. In addition, the new car is equipped with a dual spoke multifunctional steering wheel, and black design elements are incorporated into the functional areas on both sides, creating a stronger sense of luxury. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with HUD and adopt a front bumper design. The seat will also be designed with diamond stitching, which is expected to provide good comfort.

In terms of power, the new car is built on the Changan EPA1 platform and offers extended range hybrid and pure electric versions. The former uses a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with a maximum engine power of 66kW and a maximum driving e-motor of 160kW; The pure electric version is powered by an e-motor model XTDM27, with a maximum power of 258 horsepower. Referring to the pure electric version of CHANGAN DEEPAL SL03, the pure electric version is expected to have a range of 515km and 705km.
