Changan UNI-Z Makes Its Debut with a New Hybrid System

Changan UNI-Z, a new compact SUV equipped with a hybrid power system, has made its debut. The car is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of this year with an estimated price of around 150,000 yuan (US$23,000).

The UNI-Z is the latest addition to Changan‘s UNI series. The name “UNI-Z” is meant to evoke a sense of the future and technology, as well as the “best” and “Generation Z.” The car is designed to appeal to young consumers with its sporty styling and advanced technology.

The exterior of the UNI-Z features a borderless grille with a parametric dot matrix design, LED headlights, and a sloping roofline. The rear of the car has a bar-type and a mechanical spoiler.

The interior of the UNI-Z is dominated by a large floating center console display. The car also features soft-touch materials on the dashboard, center console, and armrests.

One of the most eye-catching features of the UNI-Z is the “warship” ambient light located on the center console. This light is said to be able to sync with the vehicle’s driving status, providing users with an immersive driving experience.

The UNI-Z is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a new hybrid system. The engine has a maximum power output of 72kW, while the electric motor has a maximum power output of 158kW. The hybrid system was developed by Changan over a period of 27 months.

The UNI-Z is positioned as a compact SUV and will compete with other models in the segment such as the Geely Xingyue L and the Haval H6. With its stylish design, advanced technology, and competitive price, the UNI-Z is poised to make a strong impact in the Chinese market.
